PADI Wreck Speciality

20 & 21 January 2007

It was about time I did my Wreck speciality as I am heading to Truk Lagoon in a couple of months. So I paid my money and had the theory class on the Thursday night. On Friday night, we met at Ocean Vista in Mooloolaba on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. After a briefing on what we would be doing over the next couple of days, we headed to bed.

At 7:30AM, we had another in depth briefing, then headed to the jetty and for "2 Ezy" from Sunreef to pick us up and take us out to the Ex HMAS Brisbane for the first of our 4 dives. Since I was on a course, I didn't get many pictures. But here's a couple I got.

While waiting for the boat, these Pelicans were hovering around waiting for the fisherman to clean their catch.

I think Tim is happy to be under water?

These Batfish were all around us on our safety stops.

After our 4 dives, which are detailed here,  Neil bade us congratulations on the bridge of the EX HMAS Brisbane. A nice touch.

Now I am a certified wreck diver.
