2005 Pro Dive Bunker Trip.

August 17 to 21, 2005 was the annual Bunker Trip. The Bunker group of islands are located on the Great Barrier Reef, 100 kilometres (52 nautical miles) north east of Bundaberg. This group of islands encompass Lady Musgrave, Lady Elliot and the smaller islands and reefs around the area.  

Shane and I drove up on the 16th. Arriving at Burnett Heads public jetty at around 1PM. After having lunch at the Lighthouse Hotel, we boarded the MV Esperance Star. We set out for the islands around 9PM.

On arrival, at about 5am, we woke up to a magnificent view of Lady Musgrave Island..

Over the next 4 days, I did a total of 12 dives, 7 reef and 5 wreck dives. Ranging in depth from 15.2 to 39.9 meters. One of the wreck dives was a night dive as well. I won't bore you with details of the dives, just have a look at the photos I took with my digital camera and the small video clip at the end.
